Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She received an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue is an American actor, producer and director who has worked in both film and television. Her acting career started in the theatre. Later, she was a part of numerous television shows, independent films and mainstream movies. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also took home a variety of accolades. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Her stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted by her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
