Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of fourteen years old. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd then went on to win three fights in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were finished within the first five minutes. She went back to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her via unanimity to create a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used superior wrestling to take down McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen dominated Hoy and defeated her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina, and ground-and - hit her for a TKO win in the second round. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the initial round, she was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks in her debut fight. Ladd's win was a majority decision as well as her Fight of the Night award was awarded to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7 at ESPN. As a replacement she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. It was a loss by majority decision.
